About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team at Palo Alto Networks. As a key member of our Data Center Operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the performance, reliability, and efficiency of our data center infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the DevOps team to provide follow-the-sun operational coverage in the production of our SaaS product.
  • Build automated tools for cloud operations, including automated remediation of known issues, auto-scaling, and more.
  • Collaborate with our Engineering team to influence the operability of our product.
  • Work with the HQ-based DevOps team for knowledge and tools sharing.
  • Write automation code and build tools to integrate multiple on-premise, private, and public cloud services.
  • Mentor and champion SRE culture.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Participate with SRE and Dev teams in the on-call rotation.
  • Take full end-to-end responsibility for the production environment of our SaaS product deployed on GCP.
  • Build tools for automatic remediation of known issues.
  • Develop Infrastructure-as-code to orchestrate production and dev environments.
  • Design, build, maintain, and scale production services with thousands of Kubernetes clusters.
  • Perform onsite and remote site data center server Break/fix.
  • Troubleshoot OS, hardware, and components.
  • Install servers, rack and stack, and cable.
  • Decommission and repurpose servers in our data centers.
  • Replace hardware, order RMA, and manage inventory (DCIM).
  • Manage shipping and receiving.
