Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Texas Health Plano. As a Clinical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our laboratory team by performing daily reviews of results, collecting specimens, and following laboratory procedures for handling and processing.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily review of results from the department
  • Collect specimens and follow laboratory procedure for patient identification and labeling
  • Follow laboratory procedures for handling and processing specimens
  • Follow established laboratory test procedures
  • Perform procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
  • Six months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy
  • PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician upon hire preferred
