About the Role

The Surgical Technologist is a key member of the healthcare team, responsible for assisting with the care and preparation of surgical patients and the operating room under the direct supervision of an operating room RN.

This role requires the assembly, set-up, and use of surgical instrumentation and equipment during surgical procedures. Work situations are primarily routine but may change rapidly to an emergent or critical situation, requiring both directed and independent decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the care and preparation of surgical patients and the operating room
  • Assemble, set-up, and use surgical instrumentation and equipment during surgical procedures
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing situations and making decisions quickly
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Surgical Technologist certification from the Washington Department of Health
  • Two years of experience in a surgical setting
  • BLS certification
