Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Technician to join our team at TransForce. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our fire apparatus products, from inspection to delivery. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will play a critical role in maintaining our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect fire apparatus products to ensure they meet our quality standards
  • Perform pre-delivery activities, including multi-point inspections and functionality checks
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming products
  • Document non-conformances and verify rework
  • Collaborate with production employees, engineering, and quality teams to ensure quality requirements are met
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and processes

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the operation or maintenance of fire apparatus, or equivalent
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to identify root causes
  • Knowledge of computer skills, including Baan, MS Access, Data Entry, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with customers and fellow employees
  • Knowledge of FAA and NFPA regulations
  • Ability to obtain CDL license (Class A or B) within 6 months

Working Conditions:

  • Lift/Push/Pull- Exerting up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Climbing- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms
  • Stooping- Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist
  • Kneeling- Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees
  • Crouching/Crawling/Reaching - Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine. Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
  • Standing- Particularly for sustained periods of time
  • Walking- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another
