Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Hardware Applications Engineer to join our Timing Applications Engineering team at Skyworks Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and assistance to customers regarding our timing products, as well as collaborating with internal teams to ensure our products are well understood and successfully designed-in to our customers' end products and system applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct technical assistance to customers regarding product usage, features, applications, trade-offs, and benefits.
  • Assist sales and marketing teams by providing technical expertise in both a pre and post sales capacity to help drive product design wins and direction of future products.
  • Design, debug, and document product evaluation boards and/or other support boards.
  • Develop new product launch collateral such as datasheets, technical reference manuals, application notes, compliance test reports, and related documents.
  • Validate device use case scenarios ensuring device-related hardware, firmware, and our ClockBuilder Pro software meets expected functionality and performance.
Requirements
  • BS/MS in electrical, computer, or systems engineering with 8+ years' industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals and methodologies, logical thinking.
  • Experience in signals, systems, and design of analog and digital circuits.
  • System analysis skills, ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Experience with troubleshooting circuits and systems.
  • Proficiency in lab instrument use, debugging techniques, and documenting lab results.
  • Strong customer interface and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of S/W programming and tools (Visual Studio, C#, or VB, Python, etc.).
  • Driven to meet deadlines while being held accountable to high-quality standards.
  • Positive attitude with strong desire for customer and team success to maintain our winning culture.
  • Desire to continuously learn and grow to become the best you can be.
What We Offer

At Skyworks Solutions, we offer a competitive salary range of $110,600 - $210,600 per year, depending on relevant experience and skills. We also provide access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off, and other benefits. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
