Key Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and provide education to patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patient responses to ensure safe and effective care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical exams, vital signs, and laboratory results, to identify potential health risks and develop strategies for prevention and intervention.
- Develop and implement patient education plans to promote health literacy and empower patients to take an active role in their care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to promote best practices.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
- Specialized certifications as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two (2) years and obtain a BSN Degree within five (5) years of job entry date.
