ER Technician

Job Summary:

Nuvance Health is seeking a highly skilled ER Technician to join our team in the Emergency Department. As an ER Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our medical team in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and manage medical emergencies under the supervision of medical control.
• Provide patient care based on individual needs within the scope of practice under the direct supervision of the ED Registered Nurse.
• Recognize and report appropriate data to the registered nurse.
• Assist registered nurses and physicians with assessments, examinations, and treatment.
• Provide general nursing care, including positioning, lifting, turning, and assisting with ambulation.
• Perform other duties as in-service, including crutch walking, dressing changes, and assisting physicians with splint or cast application.

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience as EMT or CNA/PCT or Medical Assistant.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current BLS Certification.
• Current EMT-Basic or Paramedic Licenses.
• Medical terminology.

Work Environment:

Sharon Hospital, 50 Hospital Hill Road, Sharon, CT.

Work Schedule:

Part-time, 32 hours per week, with every other weekend and holiday.

Salary Range:

$29.51 per hour.
