ER Technician

Job Summary:

Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled ER Technician to join our team in the Emergency Department. As an ER Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our medical team in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and manage medical emergencies under the supervision of medical control.
• Assist with patient care, including positioning, lifting, and ambulation.
• Recognize and report important data to registered nurses.
• Assist with assessments, examinations, and treatment.
• Provide general nursing care, including taking vital signs and recording patient information.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including crutch walking, dressing changes, and assisting with splint or cast application.

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience as EMT or CNA/PCT or Medical Assistant.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current BLS Certification.
• Current EMT-Basic or Paramedic Licenses.
• Medical terminology.

Work Environment:

Sharon Hospital, 50 Hospital Hill Road.

Work Schedule:

Per Diem, Various 8-hour shifts, Weekend/Holiday Requirement.
