Associate General Counsel

Turning Point Brands, Inc. is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in driving our legal strategy and business partner model forward.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategic advice and support on commercial matters, including general commercial law, business formation, B2B and B2C transactions, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, IP, securities, regulatory, and corporate governance matters.
- Conduct investment research and analysis, as well as transactional due diligence.
- Manage outside counsel and collaborate with them to achieve business objectives.
- Provide advice and support to the Board of Directors.
- J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
- 3+ years of experience handling commercial matters at a law firm and/or in-house role.
- Experience thinking strategically to solve complex legal challenges and managing multiple high-priority projects.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including experience communicating efficiently and managing relationships outside of legal.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, research, and advocacy skills.
- Business acumen and transactional experience.
