Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Dietary Assistant Manager to join our team at PruittHealth. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Dietary Manager in planning, organizing, and directing the operation of the Dietary Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient interviews to obtain diet history, assessment, and preferences.
  • Document patient clinical records and nutritional needs.
  • Assess and document patient cultural backgrounds that may affect food consumption.
  • Review and implement regular and therapeutic diets and menus.
  • Counsel patients on dietary likes and dislikes, appetite, and food habits.
  • Supervise tray line service and process diet orders accurately.
  • Make menu substitutions and record them in accordance with procedural guidelines.
  • Properly store leftovers and opened food.
  • Serve nourishments in accordance with procedural guidelines.
  • Operate kitchen equipment and follow proper cleaning procedures.
  • Use standardized recipes and serving equipment.
  • Check and record water temperature and dishwasher sanitizer levels.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited course in Dietetic training approved by the American Dietetic Association.
  • Two years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing care center, or other related medical center.
  • Training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.
