Job Summary

The Emergency Services Technician plays a vital role in supporting patient care and administrative procedures in a dynamic healthcare environment. This position requires collaboration with a team of practitioners to ensure the best possible health care outcomes and patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing direct patient care as directed by healthcare practitioners
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and aesthetic environment through critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Collaborate with the team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction
  • Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members
  • Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current Washington state certification/licensure as a CNA or NA-R, MA-P, MA-C, or successful completion of EMT Training Course
  • MA-P or EMT will be required to obtain NA-R within ninety (90) days of hire
  • CNA, NA-R, or EMT will be required to obtain MA-P within a specified date determined by the region
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Previous experience as a CNA, NA-R, corpsman, or EMT, in an emergency department, pre-hospital, or acute care setting within the last three (3) years preferred
