Position Overview:
The Finance Operations Manager plays a crucial role in providing guidance, leadership, and support to the Finance Department Managers across our managed venues. This position is both rewarding and challenging, with a positive work environment and significant responsibilities that impact our clients and the communities we serve.
The role involves reviewing financial activities and transactions, including monthly financial statements, assisting General Managers with annual budgeting processes, overseeing financial reviews, controls, and audits, conducting high-level business analysis, and occasionally performing accounting functions for designated venues. The Finance Operations Manager will also have a supervisory role over Finance Department Managers in various venues.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the monthly closing process to ensure accurate financial records and timely completion of venue-level transactions.
- Supervise the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, along with pro forma reports and dashboards for management and client review.
- Conduct financial analysis and investigate discrepancies in financial statements.
- Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and controls, including testing general ledger entries, account balances, and related financial documents.
- Evaluate venue systems and internal controls for potential weaknesses and implement necessary improvements.
- Participate in the recruitment process for open Finance Department Manager positions and review candidate applications.
- Provide training and development for newly hired Finance Department Managers.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Prior experience in accounting and supervisory roles is preferred.
- Experience with multi-location operations and consolidations is advantageous.
- Proficiency in financial management and accounting systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent management, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel overnight to various venues, estimated at 50% of the time.
