Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team at Acadia Healthcare. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving the financial and operational success of our behavioral health facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare and submit corporate required reports, including the Monthly Operating Report, Monthly Certifications, and Corporate Disclosures.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and internal controls to ensure a clean audit with no material audit adjustments or deficiencies.
  • Direct the operations of the Revenue Cycle to ensure efficient collection of accounts receivable and minimize uncompensated care.
  • Strive to achieve goals for cash collections and AR days, and reduce bad debt and denials.
  • Review revenue cycle metrics to proactively identify and address issues affecting overall performance.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and managed care reimbursement methodologies to ensure accurate payment and revenue deductions.
  • Facilitate preparation of required cost reports and supervise Accounting, Patient Accounting, Health Information Management, Materials Management, and other departments as assigned.
  • Ensure departmental staff is adequately trained and equipped to meet the needs of the facility.
  • Prepare annual operating budget and participate in the annual strategic planning process.
  • Provide ongoing analysis of variances from budget and assist the CEO in implementing changes needed to achieve budget goals.
  • Prepare annual capital budgets and Capital Equipment Requests.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or business-related field with major in Accounting.
  • Minimum 3 years successful CFO experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in behavioral healthcare.
  • Previous experience with a proprietary healthcare system is highly preferred.
  • CPA or Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven financial analysis skills and experience working with information technology and proficiency with software packages including Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, excellent communication skills, and ability to think strategically and solve problems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with facility staff, physicians, and corporate staff.
