Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Manager to join our team. As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for managing and supervising the housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff at a single site. You will lead teams to complete light housekeeper, heavy housekeeper, and laundry aide duties on varying shifts, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities- Lead staff training, quality control, and in-servicing to ensure that all team members are equipped to deliver exceptional service.
- Coordinate and ensure the satisfactory and timely completion of project and program work done in the building on varying shifts.
- Maintain income and expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment records to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
- Act as liaison between building occupants or administrators and HCSG staff, communicating effectively with all directives from managers, building occupants, and administrators.
- Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and ensure that all team members follow safety protocols and guidelines.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a positive attitude, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to follow oral and written instructions. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and two years' experience in Environmental Services in a healthcare environment and personnel supervision is desired.
