Position Summary

The Assembler III Cabling role involves executing back-end and box-build assembly tasks to guarantee timely delivery of high-quality products. The individual will work efficiently in accordance with established workmanship standards and maintain productivity within their designated area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to detailed verbal or written instructions, including visual aids.
  • Confirm the accuracy of incoming materials and manage storage using a FIFO (first in, first out) inventory system.
  • Manually construct assembly or box-build systems utilizing specific tools, torque drivers, and hardware, meeting predetermined run rates.
  • Retrieve and scan necessary components or sub-assemblies from flow racks, bins, or Kanban locations.
  • Maintain certifications and/or proficiency in Assembler I, Router, Press Fit, and RTV operations.
  • Ensure certification and/or proficiency in DF Pre-Kitting Assembly/Test, Hi-Pot Test, Bundle Kitting, and Pack-Out operations.
  • Conduct physical inventory checks of parts or assemblies in assigned areas.
  • Execute the Purge process as required.
  • Ensure all production equipment remains functional through preventative maintenance practices.
  • Uphold 5S order and cleanliness in the assigned workspace at all times.
  • Comply with all safety and health regulations as directed by supervisors.
  • Follow all procedures outlined in the company security policy.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Ability to calculate the quantity of parts needed for preparation and usage at any given time.
  • Proficient in presenting information and addressing inquiries from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, data collection, fact establishment, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Proficient in operating a personal computer, including familiarity with Windows-based operating systems and related software.
  • Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
  • Ability to compose simple correspondence and comprehend visual aids.
  • Ability to apply common sense to follow simple instructions.
  • Capable of handling standardized situations with minimal variables.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret graphs.
