Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive range of radiological, environmental, safety, and health activities to ensure compliance with both company standards and federal/state regulations.
- Assist in the formulation, execution, and upkeep of programs, systems, and procedures essential for safeguarding personnel and facilities.
- Perform trend analysis, audits, accident investigations, and site inspections to evaluate operational procedures, facility design, equipment, and materials.
- Propose enhancements in processes, designs, procedures, and operational equipment to mitigate hazardous risks.
- Deliver employee training, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Provide regulatory interpretation and expert technical guidance.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in an accredited engineering or science-related field with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 7 years of experience. Alternatively, candidates may qualify if they are currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part II qualified, or have SIT qualifications along with 3 years of EOOW qualifications in the Nuclear Operations Program. A required certification is the Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
Additional qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or Industrial Hygiene.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to analyze data sets for injury/illness and deficiency tracking systems.
- Capability to identify and communicate safety and health trends.
