Oncology Unit Charge Nurse

At Emory Healthcare, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oncology Unit Charge Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Plan, coordinate, and direct the daily operations of a specific shift on a clinical unit.
- Supervise staff and facilitate communication with physicians and internal administrators to provide optimal patient and family-centered care.
- Identify the need for revision and evaluate the effectiveness of operational forms.
- Provide and coordinate the resources needed within the unit to provide optimal patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance and adherence with stated policies and procedures for the unit.
- Remain informed of innovative clinical trends through benchmarking and evidence-based practice.
- Role model delegation skills to colleagues and assist them in effective delegation utilizing the Synergy model for care.
- Address escalated patient issues and refer issues to Unit Director or Patient Advocate when unable to resolve.
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Two years experience as an RN with a minimum of two years of experience in the area of concentration.
- Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- Certification preferred.
- BLS required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
