Job Overview
Position Summary:
The Café Service Associate plays a crucial role in the preparation and sale of menu offerings within the community's bistro café. This position involves taking customer orders, processing payments, and managing cash transactions efficiently. The associate is also responsible for maintaining accurate records and receipts, overseeing inventory levels, and ensuring proper storage, labeling, and dating of all food items. A key aspect of this role is to uphold the cleanliness and organization of the entire bistro area, including the refrigerator/freezer, preparation zones, and dining spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Prepare and serve bistro items while delivering exceptional customer service.
B. Process cash transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
C. Monitor and manage inventory for the bistro.
D. Ensure cleanliness and adhere to sanitation standards throughout the café.
Qualifications:
Education:
A high school diploma or vocational training is preferred.
Training and Experience:
One to two years of experience in a similar role, such as a Cook Assistant or within the restaurant industry, is desirable.
All personnel providing direct care to residents must possess current first aid training.
Job Knowledge:
A solid understanding of coffee and sandwich preparation techniques, as well as presentation skills, is essential.
