Job Summary

The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Donation Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our donors, maintaining a clean and organized donation area, and handling transactions with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors, ensuring a positive experience and building trust in our organization.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized donation area, adhering to safety and security protocols.
  • Handle transactions with accuracy, including receiving and processing donations, and ensuring all necessary information is collected.
  • Support the production processes as needed, including sorting, loading, and unloading donations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication.
  • Basic computer skills, including payroll programs and ability to learn other systems.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Working Conditions

The work environment for this position is a store environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. The employee is routinely exposed to outdoor weather and may stand for extended periods.
