Job Description

The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Donation Attendant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our donors, maintaining a clean and organized donation area, and handling transactions with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors, ensuring a positive experience
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized donation area, adhering to safety and security protocols
  • Handle transactions with accuracy, including receiving and receipting donated materials
  • Sort, load, and unload SA trucks, following center policies
  • Support production processes as needed, including power sorting donations
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication
  • Basic computer skills, including payroll programs and ability to learn other systems
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds
Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position, requiring weekend and evening hours. The work environment is a store environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. The employee is routinely exposed to outdoor conditions and may stand for extended periods.
