Job Title: IT Director of Infrastructure and Operations

We are seeking an experienced IT Director of Infrastructure and Operations to join our team at Composites One. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of our IT infrastructure and data center operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for the service desk, end-user computing, and enterprise infrastructure, aligning with organizational goals and ensuring optimal performance across all locations.
  • Define and refine IT infrastructure architecture and standards, focusing on disaster recovery, security, storage, and performance systems to ensure reliable and secure operations.
  • Oversee the management of the service desk and field service teams, ensuring timely and efficient support for all end-user technologies, including procurement, imaging, and deployment of laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
  • Lead and coordinate a diverse team of internal staff, contractors, cloud service providers, and other vendors to manage the full lifecycle of infrastructure components, from installation to maintenance.
  • Oversee the acquisition, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of cloud IaaS and PaaS solutions, ensuring a secure, highly available, and reliable environment that supports our business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements, including NIST, ISO27001, and ITIL standards. Manage departmental budgets, maintain financial forecast accuracy, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Work closely with business units, retail operations, distribution centers, and sales offices to understand and address their infrastructure needs, driving enhanced user productivity and collaboration.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the IT infrastructure team, leveraging the latest technology standards and best practices to drive innovation and operational excellence.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role in Infrastructure Technology. Proven expertise in data center management, cloud computing, virtualization, networking, and security.
  • Hands-on experience with networking, end-user support, and end-user computing devices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working in a Windows environment. Familiarity with infrastructure 'core services' like Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network security principles.
  • Strong budgeting and financial forecasting skills with a focus on cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ability to produce effective management project briefings to senior staff.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
