Job Summary

The Express Assistant Account Manager plays a vital role in supporting the department in meeting customer service needs and performing essential functions. This includes processing changes, rating, making calls, and ensuring accurate information is input into the agency management system to achieve quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service to customers and prospects.
  • Accurately process endorsements, certificates, and invoices for transactions as per instructions from the Account Manager.
  • Assist in processing new and renewal business, including application assembly, setting up files, and assembling proposals, in accordance with Agency standards.
  • Invoice assigned commercial premium transactions following agency procedures and guidelines.
  • Process confirmed cancellations.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all company change procedures.
  • Effectively support the department with computer and word processing skills, including rating programs in the agency management system.
  • Maintain client files within the agency management system.
  • Review all activities relating to the public, customers, and companies to avoid issues involving potential errors and omissions.
Additional Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain a thorough understanding of commercial underwriting and coverage and interpret abstract data.
  • Intermediate PC skills, with a focus on the Microsoft Office suite of products and the ability to effectively utilize the agency's management systems.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, changing priority environment.
  • Self-motivated, with the initiative to prioritize and be self-directed.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and managers across all levels.
  • Ability to promote and maintain a team environment, willing to find accommodating solutions for customers, companies, and the Agency.
  • Ability to successfully adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as maintain strict confidentiality.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of previous commercial lines insurance experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years of direct phone customer service experience preferred.
  • Possession of, or the ability to quickly obtain, all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance required.
  • CISR designation preferred.
  • Associate degree preferred.
