Key Responsibilities:

  • Present a professional demeanor and appearance to donors, introducing yourself and explaining the phlebotomy process.
  • Perform donor identification, review of records, and arm/vein selection for phlebotomy, adhering to DCOPs and using appropriate gauge needles.
  • Set up and program Haemonetics Autopheresis equipment, understanding alarm signals during operation, shutdown, and power failure scenarios.
  • Conduct phlebotomy procedures in accordance with DCOPs, including arm preparations, collection volumes, restarts, and cell loss procedures.
  • Maintain equipment calibration, standardization, and cleaning schedules as per DCOPs.
  • Collect and identify test samples, including NAT testing protocols.
  • Respond promptly and competently to donor complaints, reactions, or deferrals.
  • Ensure the donor floor is properly stocked with supplies and soft goods.
