Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician to join their team. This 13-week travel assignment offers a unique opportunity to work with a top healthcare client in Burlington, Vermont.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting the surgical team during cardiac procedures. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing operating rooms for surgeries by setting up instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Scrubbing, circulating, and serving as the heart holder during CVOR procedures.
- Picking supplies for surgeries and accurately performing instrument and sponge counts.
- Obtaining specimens and verifying their location.
To excel in this role, you will need a strong foundation in surgical technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
RequirementsTo be considered for this opportunity, you must:
- Hold a graduate degree from an accredited School of Surgical Technology or have 3 years of recent experience working as a surgical technician in an acute care setting.
- Be certified as a CPR provider.
- Have at least 18 months of CVOR experience or have completed clinical orientation specific to the surgical care of open-heart patients.
