Cardiovascular Operating Room Specialist

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled CVOR Technologist to join our team at MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing.
As a travel CVOR Technologist, you will be working in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of one of our top healthcare clients in Burlington, Vermont. This is a 13-week contract with 36 hours per week, paying an estimated $52/hour gross salary for 12-hour shifts, tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
About the Job
This role requires a graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or 3 years recent experience working as a surgical technician in an acute care setting. You must have a minimum of eighteen months of CVOR recent experience or completed clinical orientation specific to the surgical care of the open-heart patient population.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of CVOR instrumentation as it relates to specific cardiac surgical procedures and other procedures as needed, including CABG and cardiac procedures.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Perform treatments per protocols.
- Functions proficiently in scrubbing, 2nd circulating, and 3rd person/Heart Holder roles of the CVOR.
- Picks supplies for surgeries, sets up instruments and scrubs for surgical procedure, and performs instrument and sponge count accurately.
- Obtain specimens, hand over to circulating nurse and verifies location.
- Facilitates room turnover time.
- Participates in department on-call schedule.
