Job Summary:
GPAC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Litigation Attorney with a focus on general liability to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in civil litigation, with a proven track record of success in handling complex cases from beginning to end.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis of claims and causes of action
Draft and argue substantive motions, including motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment
Represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions
Collaborate with experts and retain expert witnesses as needed
Participate in negotiations and mediation
Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations
Requirements:
Admitted to practice in the state of NY; other states are a plus
J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school
Exceptional writing, research, and litigation skills
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong work ethic and ability to self-manage and work in a team environment
Excellent client skills and telephone manner
