Job Summary

As a Speech-Language Pathologist with the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents. Your expertise will be essential in assessing and treating individuals with various speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer speech and language evaluations, tests, or examinations to diagnose and plan treatments for clients/patients/residents.
  • Assess clients/patients/residents with various speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing problems and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical diagnoses.
  • Provide speech and language services to clients/patients/residents; monitor disease progression and adjust treatments accordingly.
  • Instruct clients/patients/residents in practicing speech and language therapeutic exercises; provide consultation for clients/patients/residents working through speech and language treatment processes.
  • Ensure all speech and language-related standards, policies, protocols, and quality requirements are met.
Requirements
  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • When working at a Sanford Health Facility (not required but preferred by GSS Facilities): Holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) or currently working on Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
