Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and prevent language, speech, and swallowing disorders in children and adolescents. You will design and implement individualized treatment plans, provide therapy sessions, and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose language, speech, and swallowing disorders in children and adolescents
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs
  • Provide therapy sessions to patients, including speech, language, and swallowing therapy
  • Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with Aveanna policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited college/university
  • Current and unrestricted SLP license to practice in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • NPI number
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of recent experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in an acute care setting
  • Pediatric experience preferred
