Role Overview:
As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the operating room, assisting in various surgical procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks that ensure the safety and efficiency of surgical operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the sterile field by setting up necessary instruments and supplies.
- Assist in draping the patient and ensuring the surgical team is properly gowned and gloved.
- Participate in the counting of surgical instruments and materials during procedures.
- Maintain aseptic conditions throughout the surgical process and engage in safety protocols such as the intraoperative timeout.
- Collect and label specimens for analysis, ensuring proper handling and transfer to the circulator.

Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment:
This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment. You will be expected to maintain focus and professionalism while managing multiple tasks.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and positioning patients.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and work in a dynamic setting.
