About the Role:

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses.
  • Ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and maintain a sterile field.
  • Perform a variety of functions, such as checking supplies and equipment, setting up sterile tables, and passing instruments to the surgeon and assistant during the procedure.
  • Prepare sterile dressing and clean instruments for terminal sterilization.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a surgical technology program accredited through the CAAHEP or ABHES.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Preferred qualifications include certification as a Surgical Technologist (TS-C or CST).

Physical Requirements:

The Surgical Technologist will require full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. The role also requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time, with occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 25 pounds.
