Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Food Production Specialist to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our Prepared Foods department, you will be responsible for preparing, counter serving, sanitizing, and stocking products to ensure a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with food production for all Prepared Foods venues, ensuring high-quality products meet our standards.
  • Ensure all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, and rotated to maintain freshness and quality.
  • Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms to optimize inventory management.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer needs in a timely and effective manner, and modeling suggestive selling techniques.
  • Maximize sales potential through effective procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising products.
  • Follow established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
Requirements
  • Thorough product knowledge and ability to make adequate recipes per shift based on batch size.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to deliver information in a clear and respectful manner to customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures, with effective time management and organization skills.
  • Passion for natural foods and the mission of Whole Foods Market.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • In an 8-hour workday: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
  • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
