Job Purpose:
The role of Lead Manufacturing Engineer is pivotal in guiding teams to align with company objectives, policies, vision, and growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and foster team collaboration to support company goals.
- Prioritize and schedule projects aimed at enhancing manufacturing processes.
- Conduct research, design, and development of manufacturing methodologies, including production flow and assembly techniques.
- Oversee the seamless integration of new products and technologies into production lines.
- Analyze and design equipment layouts to optimize workflow and maintenance access.
- Develop timelines for equipment installation and upgrades.
- Design, develop, and procure necessary tooling and equipment, collaborating with external vendors as required.
- Monitor and enhance manufacturing processes and equipment efficiency.
- Update production standards and conduct capacity and time studies on equipment and processes.
- Establish and refine operating procedures to maintain control over production processes.
- Collaborate with various departments to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
- Address customer concerns related to process challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, complemented by relevant experience.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, NX, Inventor, or SolidWorks is advantageous).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and project management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Familiarity with machining and assembly practices, tools, and fixtures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with PLC and CNC programming is a plus.
