Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate resources to identify and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal productivity.
  • Develop and implement vision control systems, utilizing expertise in industrial bar code printers and vision camera programming software.
  • Utilize FIS plant monitoring software to analyze cycle times and project installations, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Reprogram equipment for engineering changes and improvements, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of automation and controls systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review risk assessments and evaluate equipment safety, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel and plant electricians, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Maintain familiarity with OA, CPN/MPN networks and communication protocols, ensuring seamless connectivity and data exchange.
  • Manage installation and maintenance of virus protection software for controls network PCs, ensuring optimal system performance and data security.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Controls or Automation Engineering preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in controls engineering, with a strong background in PLC/CNC, VFD, Servo, Profinet, and ABB.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify process improvements.
  • Strong understanding of laser burning, conveyor system programming, and overhead Gantry systems.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience, with knowledge of 8D, FMEA, and DMAIC processes.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with experience in simulation modeling and visual factory management a plus.
