Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise process and process control engineers, as well as supporting technical staff, to ensure a safe, reliable, efficient, and growing operation.
  • Manage technical resources in support of Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, and Capital Project departments.
  • Develop and vet a site project portfolio to support the growth and enhancement of site operations.
  • Model Nutrien's core values of safety and integrity and lead an inclusive culture in which all team members are actively contributing to a safe work environment.
Requirements
  • BS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in chemical plant or similar environment with responsibilities involving process engineering, maintenance, or operations.
  • Professional Engineering Designation preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects with a total installed cost (TIC) of $5.0 MM is preferred.
  • Previous leadership and supervisory experience are preferred.
  • Knowledge of ammonia, urea, and nitric acid manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic process control systems (BPCS) and safety instrumented systems (SIS) is preferred.
