Job Title: Behavioral Health Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team at Konza Prairie Community Health Center. As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will provide clinical therapy services to clients and their families in an outpatient setting, diagnosing and treating mental illness and behavioral health concerns.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical therapy services to clients and their families in an outpatient setting
  • Diagnose and treat mental illness and behavioral health concerns
  • Act within your scope of all applicable state laws and your professional license
  • Treat a variety of clients with serious and persistent psychiatric/substance abuse, medical, and/or bio-psychosocial concerns
  • Identify clients with bio-psychosocial problems and/or high-risk situations needing intervention and resolution
  • Develop a treatment plan, communicate, and implement the plan with all involved parties, and maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in a mental health related field required
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Masters Social Worker, or Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist as recognized with the State of Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board
  • Temporary licensures are accepted as long as full licensure is achieved within one year of employment
  • Minimal of one-year clinical experience providing therapy services, including internships
  • Maintains License in good standing through State of Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker as recognized with the State of Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board
  • Is dually licensed as a Licensed Addictions Counselor or a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor as recognized with the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board
  • Is an Approved Clinical Supervisor as recognized with the State of Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board
  • Is Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
