- Policy Formulation: Contribute to the creation, execution, and revision of HR policies and procedures to guarantee they remain current and legally compliant.
- Audits and Evaluations: Perform internal audits and risk evaluations to uncover compliance deficiencies and propose corrective measures.
- Documentation and Reporting: Generate and sustain comprehensive reports on compliance matters, audit results, and changes in regulations. Ensure that all documentation is thorough and precise.
- Training and Guidance: Offer training and guidance to HR personnel and management regarding compliance issues. Develop educational resources to enhance compliance awareness.
- Investigative Support: Assist in and conduct inquiries into compliance-related issues, employee grievances, or policy breaches.
- Regulatory Awareness: Remain updated on shifts in employment laws and regulations, advising on their implications for company policies and practices.
- Collaborative Efforts: Partner closely with legal, finance, and other departments to ensure a holistic approach to compliance throughout the organization.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline. HR or compliance certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) is advantageous.
- Experience: A minimum of 2-4 years in HR compliance, HR management, or a comparable role.
- Knowledge: A solid grasp of employment laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, ADA, EEO, FMLA, OSHA).
- Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Keen attention to detail and the capacity to manage sensitive information discreetly.
- Communication: Proficient written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clarify complex compliance topics in an accessible manner.
- Technical Skills: Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiar with HRIS and compliance management software.
