Position Summary:

The Buyer will be responsible for strategizing and executing the procurement of men's merchandise, ensuring alignment with market demands, brand vision, and financial objectives. This role is crucial in optimizing sales performance and managing inventory effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develops SKU assortment strategies and final purchasing decisions that align with brand goals and financial metrics for sales, margins, and inventory across various channels.
  2. Collaborates with the Merchandising team to refine assortment strategies through market analysis and product reviews.
  3. Prepares detailed seasonal buying plans for each channel, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts and inventory targets.
  4. Creates comprehensive buy presentation documents for executive review, including product strategies and financial overviews.
  5. Works closely with ECOM and Marketing teams to enhance online merchandising and promotional strategies.
  6. Balances inventory needs across retail channels in partnership with Planning & Allocation to maximize return on investment.
  7. Implements fashion allocation strategies to optimize sales and inventory levels.
  8. Regularly assesses sales performance and adjusts markdown and promotional strategies to enhance sales and margin outcomes.
  9. Evaluates store performance and product communication through store visits and analysis.
  10. Produces weekly reports on product category performance, identifying best and worst sellers with actionable insights.
  11. Mentors and develops the buying team to enhance their skills and performance.

Qualifications:

Experience & Education:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in buying, with at least 1-2 years at an associate level.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Analytics, and other relevant retail applications.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a focus on building relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of retail math.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
