Job Description

As a Laboratory Manager at Insight Global, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the laboratory's accreditation process, ensuring that all laboratory work performed meets or exceeds the minimum requirements set forth in the quality manual and test procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage laboratory resources, including equipment, personnel, and administrative requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures.
  • Coordinate with other departments and administrative staff.
  • Provide technical consultation and training to junior staff.
  • Perform direct project work and quality reviews of technical reports.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workplace.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from High School or equivalent.
  • Good skills in math and communications.
  • Ability to lift concrete, soil, or asphalt samples up to 50lbs as a routine part of the job.
  • 10+ years Construction Materials or Geotechnical Testing experience with min 5 years experience as Laboratory Manager or Supervisor.
  • Must possess or ability to obtain within six month all relevant TXDOT certification including but not limited to SB101, SB102, SB103, SB201, SB202, AGG101, level 2, ACI Strength, ACI Field, Level 1A.

Preferred Criteria:

Advanced Geotechnical testing such as CUs, UUs, Tri-axials is a plus.Ability to work overtime hours.Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.Ability to use a computer and familiar with Microsoft environment (advance levels a plus).Ability to work independently.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
