Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to Terranea's service standards.
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs, ensuring their satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage.
  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests, while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Answer questions on menu selections to guests, providing accurate information and recommendations.
  • Work in tandem with Food Runners to coordinate food and drink delivery and cleanup, ensuring seamless service.
  • Guide guests through their dining experience, using situational and suggestive selling techniques to enhance their stay.
  • Personalize and customize each guest experience, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable stay.
  • Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, and product availability, ensuring efficient service.
  • Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order, maintaining accurate records.
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage, addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Meet and maintain check average goals set forth by Management, contributing to the resort's revenue growth.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of work areas, server stations, and the pool area throughout the day, adhering to Terranea's high standards.
  • Complete closing duties, including restocking items, clearing the pool area, and reporting any deficiencies to management.
  • Maintain all restaurant assets in pristine condition, reporting any issues to management promptly.
  • Present physical and accurate checks to guests, processing payments efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting the team to achieve common goals.
  • Own guest opportunities and resolve them through empowerment, ensuring exceptional service.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors, contributing to the resort's success.
  • Adhere to departmental policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.
  • Effectively communicate with peers, management, and line and front-of-house employees, ensuring seamless service.
  • Practice effective listening, seeking to understand guests' needs and preferences.
  • Always live by Terranea's vision, mission, and values when interacting with internal and external guests.

  • Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware, and garnishes at the Resort Pool.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
  • Monitor all guest activity in the assigned work area, being alert to any sign of trouble.
  • Ensure the safety of guests and enforce pool rules and precautions according to department standards.
  • Secure storage areas.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of:
    • Daily house count, VIPs in-house, arrivals/departures.
    • Scheduled group activities and locations within the hotel.
    • All hotel facilities and services.
    • Hours of operation of each outlet.
    • All safety and sanitation regulations for the Pool facility.
Qualifications:
  • Food and Beverage experience preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Food Handlers and RBS Certification required.
