About the Role

As a Culinary Leader, you will supervise and train cooks, prepare menus, and ensure that all food is stored and handled properly. You will also submit monthly reports, order supplies, and maintain a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities

  1. Supervise and train cooks to ensure high-quality meal preparation
  2. Plan and prepare well-balanced, nutritious meals according to established policies and procedures
  3. Prepare and adhere to weekly menus, including documenting any substitutions
  4. Store, label, and date food properly to ensure freshness and safety
  5. Submit monthly reports, daily meal counts, and food service reports in a timely manner
  6. Order food and foodservice-related items to ensure adequate supplies
  7. Maintain a safe and healthy environment by adhering to safety guidelines and regulations
  8. Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas to meet health and safety standards
  9. Perform other job-related duties as assigned and contribute to a team effort

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and three years of experience in food preparation
  • Certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid within six months of hire
  • A Food Handler's card obtained within six months after hire
  • The ability to work extended hours and various schedules
  • Skill in preparing food for large groups of people and handling sharp knives and cutting utensils

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $$$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. This is a competitive offer considering the location and industry standards.
