Job Summary

This position is located in Sells, AZ. The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

We are seeking a highly skilled Corrections Officer to join our team at the Tohono O'odham Nation. As a Corrections Officer, you will be responsible for supervising and observing inmate behavior, ensuring policies and regulations are followed, and using verbal intervention techniques to minimize disturbances.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and observe inmate behavior, building rapport with inmates.
  • Ensure policies, rules, and regulations of correctional facility operations are adhered to.
  • Use verbal intervention techniques to minimize disturbances, injuries, and escape attempts.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma and four years' work experience in a Correctional facility, Military or Law Enforcement field.
  • Bureau of Indian Affairs or State Corrections Training Academy Certification.
  • Completed the Tohono O'odham Nation's five-week Field Training Officer program.
