We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Preferred Carrier of California. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining our company equipment in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Build, rebuild, and repair all parts of company equipment, including heavy trucks and forklifts.
- Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and other breakdowns or failures to motor trucks and related equipment.
- Instrumentation and Calibration: Read precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, voltmeters, digital multimeters, calibrators, and other electronic diagnostic tools.
- Failure Analysis: Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of component parts and systems on trucks, trailers, and converter dollies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Apply knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC, and OSHA rules and regulations.
- Experience: 1 year of truck repair experience preferred.
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of most systems located on a truck or truck tractor, semi-trailer.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in extremely hot or cold climates.
- Instrumentation: Ability to read precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, voltmeters, digital multimeters, calibrators, and other electronic diagnostic tools.
- Failure Analysis: Ability to troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of component parts and systems on trucks, trailers, and converter dollies.
