Job Overview

Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Associate is crucial in ensuring our Warehouse operates smoothly. This role involves performing preventative maintenance and repairs on the facility and equipment to maintain efficiency, effectiveness, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and oversee preventative maintenance and repairs on facility and essential equipment, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, building construction, and janitorial services.
  • Manage the upkeep of grounds, including sprinkler systems, stormwater management, and landscaping.
  • Repair and supervise maintenance of equipment such as pallet wrap machines, conveyors, battery chargers, dock levelers, overhead doors (manual and powered), racking systems, and compressors.
  • Collaborate with external vendors for major electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance, as well as janitorial and grounds upkeep.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment in compliance with state safety and health regulations (OSHA and WISHA).
  • Engage in monthly safety committee meetings.
  • Foster positive, cooperative, and team-oriented relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and management.
  • Complete additional tasks or projects as assigned.
  • Exhibit behaviors aligned with the Company's Core Values consistently.

Work Environment

Work will primarily be conducted indoors, with outdoor tasks as necessary.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 165 lbs.
  • Capable of bending, stooping, crouching, squatting, and using hands and wrists effectively.
  • Occasional climbing of stairs or ladders.
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time role with varying days and hours, which may include weekends.

Travel Requirements

No travel is expected.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Certification for operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with fleet electronics, hydraulics, and air brake systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fabrication, welding, fiberglass, and sheet metal repair.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and warehouse sleds.

Classification: Non-Exempt Reports to: Facility Maintenance Manager
