KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee receiving staff and line service teams to operate within a LEAN manufacturing framework.
  • Manage operations within the confines of a designated budget.
  • Utilize the ISO 9000 system to procure and manage inventory of components essential for producing a high-quality product; instruct and guide employees in inventory management.
  • Coordinate and schedule material deliveries using a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
  • Ensure adherence to and promote employee participation in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives, security protocols, effective housekeeping, cost efficiency, company policies, and quality standards.
  • Guarantee that team members receive adequate training and are well-informed about their job responsibilities.
  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding processes for new employees.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by supervisors and managers to optimize workflow during staff absences.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Familiarity with the ISO 9000 system; proficient in utilizing company software and systems.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment is preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience in operations/materials/logistics.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an operational/materials/logistics environment is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in an operational/materials/logistics context is necessary.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Fast-paced manufacturing setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse workforce.
  • Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods on solid surfaces in a factory environment.
  • Willingness to address special situations during weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
