Technical Training Manager

Job Summary
Blue Bird is seeking a highly skilled Technical Training Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs for mechanics and technicians who maintain and repair Blue Bird fleets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive training plans that cover all aspects of school bus diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
- Organize, market, plan, deliver, and evaluate regional technician training events and on-site, hands-on workshops.
- Create detailed curriculum and educational materials that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and evaluate the performance of internal and external trainers.
- Monitor the quality of repairs and maintenance work performed by trained technicians.
- Track budget for the technical training department.
- Maintain meticulous records of training activities, attendance, and technician competencies.
Requirements
- Proven track record of developing and administering successful technical training programs.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in the use of computer software related to training development and delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Engineering, Mechanics, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, with a focus on school bus fleets ideal.
