RN - CMC Emergency Services - Per Diem - 12 Hour - Variable Shift

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Services team at John Muir Health. As a Per Diem RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Job DescriptionAs a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized patient care plans. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and prioritize patient needs, providing individualized care to meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, in collaboration with the healthcare team, to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Monitor and report patient status, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists and other healthcare services.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current California RN license.
- 6 months of acute care experience, preferably in an emergency department.
- 2000 hours of emergency nursing experience within the last 3 years, or willingness to obtain within 3 years.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ENPC, or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
