We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Per Diem Nurse to join our team at St. Paul's School. As a Per Diem Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our students in an outpatient and inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct physical assessments and triage students for scheduled appointments and walk-in appointments.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's health-related issues.
- Document all interactions with parents and outside professionals in the electronic medical record.
- Administer medications per Clark House protocol and document as such in the Medication Administration Record.
- Collaborate with the physician, counselors, Athletic Trainers, nutritionist, or other healthcare providers to best meet the needs of the students.
- Identify the need to collaborate with the physician, counselors, Athletic Trainers, nutritionist, or other healthcare providers to best meet the needs of the students.
- Use effective verbal and written communication skills with students, co-workers, parents/guardians, and community members.
- Maintain all licensing qualifications and annual St. Paul's School requirements.
- Set up and maintain exam rooms.
- Orient and supervise the LNA involved in appropriate health treatment services.
- Arrange appointments for outside evaluations and keep staff and parents informed of progress.
- Conduct daily narcotic count.
- Arrange necessary communications and reminders to students for medical treatments and follow-up care.
- Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in the state of New Hampshire and have CPR certification current.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
