Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Services team at John Muir Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients receiving conscious sedation, including nerve blocks and cardioversion.
  • Triage patients and manage precipitous deliveries and care for mothers and newborns post-delivery.
  • Stabilize critically ill patients prior to disposition, including acute stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and respiratory distress.
  • Function competently in the flow and resource roles and assume the role of a relief charge nurse.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • 6 months of nursing experience in acute care, preferred.
  • 2000 hours of nursing experience in emergency, must be obtained within the last 3 years.
  • RN registered nursing license in California.
  • BLS basic life support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • PALS pediatric advanced life support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • ENPC emergency nurse pediatric course certification from the Emergency Nurses Association.
  • NIHSS national institute of health stroke scale competency, achieved by the end of orientation.
Work Environment

This is a per diem position, working 12 hour shifts, nights. The pay rate is $99.73 hourly, with offer amounts based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
