Position Overview

The primary objective of our business is to enhance health and elevate the quality of life through innovative device solutions for Structural Heart conditions. We strive to lead our markets by ensuring that our offerings provide superior benefit/risk profiles compared to existing care standards.

The Territory Manager for Structural Interventions is a field-based role responsible for achieving and surpassing sales targets within the designated territory.

This position involves collaboration with the Regional Director to assess market opportunities and establish annual sales goals. The Territory Manager will also coordinate with clinical consultants and negotiate contracts with external stakeholders, while keeping the organization informed about market trends and competitive activities.

This role specifically focuses on Abbott's Stroke Prevention portfolio, which includes the patent foramen ovale (PFO) device and the recently FDA-approved Amplatzer™ Amulet™ LAA Occluder.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct sales calls to current and prospective clients to achieve revenue and unit growth targets.
  • Formulate and execute sales strategies based on product, competition, and pricing analysis.
  • Create actionable plans by reviewing sales data and identifying account needs.
  • Identify key accounts and healthcare professionals to understand their clinical requirements.
  • Observe procedures in hospital settings to gain insights into physician and staff needs.
  • Collaborate with Abbott Vascular teams to establish competitive pricing packages.
  • Build relationships with hospital personnel to facilitate future sales opportunities.
  • Enhance customer relationships through various support activities, including training and product launches.
  • Attend trade shows and educational events to promote company products.
  • Provide education to external clients on product usage through presentations and demonstrations.
  • Maintain clinical knowledge by participating in product training sessions.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor strategies to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare reports for sales management by analyzing relevant data.

Qualifications

Required:
BS/BA or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years in cardiovascular sales, including 3 years in Structural Heart or Electrophysiology.

Verification of compliance with vendor credentialing requirements, which may include COVID-19 vaccination.

Preferred:
Degree in Life Sciences or Marketing, with a strong sales orientation and familiarity with interventional cardiology products.
