Job Responsibilities

As a dental hygienist with GoTu, you will be responsible for:

  • Promoting dental health through dental prophylaxis, oral cancer screening, and radiographic studies.
  • Preparing patients for dental hygiene treatment, including welcoming, seating, and draping.
  • Providing information to patients and employees, answering questions and requests.
  • Maintaining instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment, including sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments.
  • Selecting materials and equipment for dental hygiene visits, evaluating patients' oral health.
  • Completing dental prophylaxis, cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and beneath gum margins.
  • Detecting disease through oral cancer screening, feeling and visually examining gums, and exposing and developing radiographic studies.
  • Arresting dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents.
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Hold an active dental hygiene license in KY.
  • Have knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Understand HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Have excellent communication skills to educate patients on oral health care practice.
